Taxi Driver
Student Work - The Ohio State University This project was an exercise in film editing and motion design. The assignment was to complete a minute long promo for a modern streaming audience. This particular study focuses on the 1976 Martin Scorsese/Paul Schrader film, "Taxi Driver". The film follows Travis Bickle, a mentally unstable taxi driver in mid-1970s New York City. The trailer focuses on establishing Travis as an intriguing "character" through rising tension. Carefully placed footage hints at the story and a raw rising drum roll imitates the growing mental instability of Bickle. Note: I do not own the film or audio. All of the footage and sound is owned by the original production company. The use of this work is for educational purposes only. Nominated for AIGA Creative Best Student Award Date: 2016 |
